A Research Topic
The topic I plan to choose is the movie Water directed by Deepa Menta. I chose this movie because it revealed the role of females and their culture in India. I was interested in the way widows were affected after their husbands’ death.

Good topic, Isa, and it looks like you've already identified a possible focus of your paper: women's roles as shown in the film. If that's what you want to do, go for it. There's a lot written on that issue. I can make a few suggestions, but standard searches should bring up quite a few books, articles, and essays. You'll likely need some help sifting through everything you find and I'll try to help you do that. I also suggest asking librarians for help narrowing things down.
